Unsecured Personal Loans

Whatever you want t call it - payday loans, cash advances - they're all just a form of unsecured personal loans. What does the unsecured mean? It means that you aren't putting up anything in the way of collateral. Not a house, not a car, not even a post-dated check necessarily - all the lender has is your word you will repay your unsecured personal loan, nothing more, nothing less.

The insecure world of unsecured personal loans
Unlike secured personal loans, everyone stands on less than stable ground when someone applies for unsecured personal loans:

The Lender has to contend with the possibility that their loans will not be repaid. It only happens about 3% of the time nationally - which is about the same write-off rate as credit cards and other forms of unsecured financing - but the possibility remains, and to compensate all the lender can do is charge more for the risk and hope for the best.
The Borrower faces the full force of that risk in the high fees and aggressive collections seen with unsecured personal loans, and its also 100% up to the borrower to come through on the repayment or suffer the consequences.

There can be no trust, only the bottom line - you either repay your personal loan or you don't. And there are no friendships in the world of unsecured lending - never for a second believe your lender is cutting you a break, or going to cut you a break.

No free rides over this river
Too many people believe they can get away with cutting a few corners of their unsecured personal loans - spend a little more here, take a few extra days there, no one will ever notice. But thats just not the way the cookie crumbles, and the moment you think you have a little flexibility in the repayment of your unsecured personal loans is the moment you'll know you are trouble good.
